Studio M Hotel

Project Overview
Contemporary Furniture for an Iconic Loft-Inspired Hotel.
Located in Robertson Quay, one of Singapore’s established entertainment and lifestyle districts, Studio M Hotel Singapore is known for its distinctive loft-inspired architecture and contemporary Italian design direction.
Designed by Italian architect and designer Piero Lissoni, the hotel combines modern interiors with a deliberately understated palette of black, white, grey and wood tones. Carefully selected furniture introduces comfort and functionality while maintaining the refined character of the space.
For Studio M Singapore, Lohabour contributed furniture for dining, bar, lounge, outdoor and office environments. The furniture package combines clean contemporary forms with practical materials and finishes designed for hospitality use.

01 / Design Direction
Italian Minimalism with a Loft-Inspired Character.
Studio M Hotel Singapore is defined by a contemporary Italian design language combined with the informal character of a loft-inspired interior.
The furniture follows this same direction. Black, white, grey and wood tones create a restrained palette, while occasional colour accents prevent the environment from feeling overly formal. Simple silhouettes and carefully proportioned furniture allow the architecture and interior details to remain visually prominent.

02 / Restaurant & Dining
Dining Furniture with a Clean Contemporary Language.
The restaurant and dining areas continue the hotel's minimalist visual language through simple tables, chairs and carefully coordinated finishes.
Dining tables use sturdy pedestal metal-leg structures, providing a clean appearance while supporting the practical requirements of a busy hospitality environment. Upholstered dining chairs combine comfort with easy-care surfaces, allowing the furniture to remain functional throughout daily hotel operation.

03 / Bar & Lounge
Furniture for Social Spaces and Evening Hospitality.
The bar and lounge areas require a different balance between comfort, durability and visual character. Sofas, coffee tables, bar stools and supporting furniture create a more relaxed environment while maintaining the hotel's contemporary design identity.
Leather-upholstered seating and stainless-steel elements provide a combination of comfort and practical maintenance. The furniture is designed to support both short visits and longer periods of social use.

04 / Outdoor Furniture
Outdoor Furniture Designed for Singapore’s Climate.
Outdoor hospitality furniture has to respond to a very different set of environmental conditions. Exposure to sunlight, humidity and moisture requires materials and construction methods that can maintain their appearance and performance over time.
For the outdoor dining areas, the furniture combines galvanized steel and wood structures with finishes selected for outdoor use. The result is a practical furniture solution that extends the hotel's design language into exterior spaces.

05 / Office & Meeting
Ergonomic Seating for Focused Work.
The hotel also incorporates smaller office and meeting environments where furniture needs to support concentrated work and longer periods of sitting.
Ergonomic office chairs were selected with features including adjustable support, reclining functionality, three-dimensional armrests and adjustable gas-lift mechanisms. These details provide greater flexibility while maintaining the clean and professional character required for business environments.
