A Modern American Approach to Apartment Living.

02 / Living Spaces

Compact Furniture for Contemporary Living.

The living spaces were designed around furniture that provides comfort without unnecessarily reducing the available floor area. Compact sofas, loveseats and sofa beds allow residents to create flexible living environments within the apartment layouts.

Fresh upholstery colours and practical, stain-resistant fabrics support everyday residential use while maintaining the clean appearance of the interiors. The furniture combines familiar American proportions with a more compact footprint suited to apartment living.

Classic Cabinetry with Efficient Apartment Planning.

The kitchen furniture combines a familiar Shaker-style door profile with a clean contemporary layout. White cabinetry creates a bright interior while maintaining a timeless residential appearance.

The kitchen arrangement uses a practical linear cabinet configuration with an integrated cooking area and island. This approach concentrates storage, preparation and cooking functions into a compact footprint while keeping the kitchen visually organised.

04 / Storage

One Consistent Cabinet Language Throughout the Apartment.

The cabinetry concept extends beyond the kitchen. Bathroom cabinets and wardrobe elements follow the same colour and door-profile language, creating a consistent visual identity throughout the apartment.

Using related cabinet forms across different rooms simplifies the interior palette while helping create a sense of continuity. At the same time, integrated storage allows more of the apartment's usable floor area to remain open and flexible.

  • Bedroom wardrobes
  • Coordinated door profiles
  • Integrated storage
  • Space optimisation

Material & Finish

Practical Materials for Everyday Residential Use.

The furniture and cabinetry were developed around materials and finishes suited to repeated residential use. White cabinet finishes establish a clean visual base, while upholstered furniture introduces texture and colour into the living spaces.

White Cabinet Finishes

A clean white finish creates a bright and contemporary interior while working across kitchens, bathrooms and storage furniture.

Shaker-Style Panels

Classic framed-style door profiles give the cabinetry a familiar American residential character while maintaining a clean appearance.

Stain-Resistant Fabrics

Practical upholstery supports everyday apartment use while allowing sofas and sofa beds to introduce colour and comfort.

Durable Furniture Components

Furniture components are selected for repeat production, consistent quality and the practical demands of multi-unit residential environments.

Furniture Extending Beyond the Apartment.

05 / Shared Spaces

Furniture Extending Beyond the Apartment.

The Wayland's residential experience also includes shared and outdoor areas where furniture needs to support a different pattern of use.

Outdoor loungers, sun beds and garden furniture provide residents with places to relax outside the apartment, while bar stools and shared tables contribute to communal areas. These pieces complement the residential furniture package while introducing materials and forms suited to outdoor and shared environments.

Designed for Repeat Production at Residential Scale.

For The Wayland, the furniture package combines standardised dimensions, coordinated finishes and efficient construction to achieve a consistent interior throughout the development while keeping the overall furniture solution commercially practical.
