Project Overview
Modern Apartment Furniture for Waterfront Living.
Located in Mott Haven in the Bronx, New York, Third at Bankside is a large-scale residential development positioned along the Harlem River. The 25-story development includes 458 residential units together with community and outdoor gathering spaces.
The interior furniture follows a contemporary American direction with strong influences from modern Italian minimalism. A restrained palette of high-grade grey, smooth surfaces and clean geometric forms creates a refined and practical residential environment.
For this project, Lohabour contributed custom apartment furniture and cabinetry, including kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, beds, sofas, armchairs, coffee tables, dining tables and chairs. The solutions were developed around space efficiency, durability, easy maintenance and a consistent visual language across the apartments.

The interior furniture language combines contemporary American residential design with the simplicity of Italian minimalism.
Clean lines, neutral grey tones and smooth surfaces create a refined environment that feels modern without becoming overly decorative. The furniture is designed to work naturally within apartment layouts while maintaining a consistent visual identity throughout the development.

Clean Cabinetry Designed for Everyday Living.
The apartment cabinetry uses a contemporary flat-door design with a handle-free appearance. High-grade grey finishes provide a neutral and durable surface that integrates naturally with the modern interior.
Kitchen cabinets are designed around practical apartment living, while the smooth finish supports easy cleaning and everyday maintenance. Soft-closing hardware further improves the user experience and reinforces the clean, minimal appearance of the cabinetry.

03 / Bathroom
Functional Bathroom Storage with a Clean Architectural Look.
The bathroom cabinetry was developed to combine storage, functionality and a clean modern appearance. The vanity system integrates upper and lower storage with an LED mirror and built-in compartments.
The lower cabinet is wall-mounted without traditional floor legs, creating a lighter visual appearance while helping keep the furniture away from direct floor moisture. The result is a practical bathroom solution designed around modern apartment living.

Minimal Furniture for Comfortable Apartment Living.
The loose furniture follows the same minimalist design language as the cabinetry. Sofas, armchairs and coffee tables use clean proportions and simple silhouettes to create comfortable living spaces without visually reducing the available room area.
Steel-foot structures provide a contemporary alternative to traditional wooden furniture bases while offering stability and making the furniture easier to clean. The overall combination brings together comfort, practicality and a refined modern appearance.

Bedroom furniture continues the same modern American and Italian minimalist approach used throughout the apartment. Beds, headboards and bedside furniture are designed with clean proportions and coordinated finishes.
Different bed configurations can be developed according to apartment layouts, allowing the furniture package to adapt to different unit types while maintaining a consistent design identity.
06 / Dining
Furniture Scaled for Contemporary Apartments.
Dining furniture is designed to work within the proportions of modern apartment interiors. Tables and chairs maintain the same restrained aesthetic as the living and bedroom furniture, allowing the different furniture elements to work together as one interior system.
The focus is on practical proportions, comfortable use and a visual language that remains consistent from the kitchen and dining area through to the living spaces.
