Project Overview
Modern American Furniture for Contemporary Apartment Living.
Violet on Virgil is a two-building apartment community located between Koreatown and Echo Park in Los Angeles, California. The development features 302 studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.
The interior furniture follows a modern American direction, combining simple forms, neutral colours and practical materials to create a contemporary residential environment.
For this project, Lohabour supplied and developed a combination of custom cabinetry and loose furniture, including kitchen cabinets, sofas, beds, dining tables and chairs. White cabinetry, linen-look upholstery, grey and beige tones, and mixed wood and metal details create a balanced and understated interior language.

Modern American Style with a Clean, Contemporary Palette.
The interior furniture follows a modern American aesthetic, combining familiar residential forms with a cleaner and more contemporary approach.
White cabinetry, soft neutral upholstery and a combination of grey and beige tones create a calm visual environment. The furniture avoids unnecessary decoration, allowing simple proportions and material contrast to define the interior.

02 / Kitchen Cabinetry
Clean Cabinetry Designed for Everyday Apartment Living.
The kitchen cabinetry uses a simple flat-panel approach with a bright white finish. The clean door profile gives the kitchen a contemporary appearance while keeping the overall design visually light.
For apartment environments, cabinetry needs to combine efficient storage with a practical and durable finish. The restrained design allows the kitchen to integrate naturally with the living area and other furniture elements.

Soft Furniture with a Minimalist Structure.
The living room furniture combines comfortable upholstered seating with simple structural details. Linen-look fabrics and neutral colours give the furniture a relaxed residential character while maintaining a clean contemporary appearance.

The bedroom furniture continues the same neutral design language used throughout the apartment. Upholstered elements and simple furniture forms create a comfortable environment while keeping the visual character consistent with the living spaces.
Beds and complementary bedroom furniture are designed around practical apartment layouts, with proportions and finishes selected to work within compact residential environments.
05 / Dining Furniture
Traditional Details Reinterpreted for Modern Interiors.
The dining furniture introduces a more traditional American reference while remaining compatible with the contemporary apartment environment.
Wooden legs combined with glass tabletops create a familiar residential character while keeping the dining area visually light. The combination provides a balance between traditional detailing, modern proportions and everyday functionality.
